REV. MARLIN CHARLES GROTH, 86, called to eternal rest January 5, 2022. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, the late Barbara Lee (nee Zilke); parents, the late Carl F. and Rosa (nee Bartz) Groth; sisters Luella (the late Richard) Cady, Alice and Mabel Groth; and brothers Ernie E. (Judy) and Carl Groth, Jr. Survived by his loving children, Kathryn (the late Daryl) Bagby, Christopher (Amy nee Ryncarz), Karl (Denise nee Smith) and Caryl (Chris) Stewart; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; dear brother William (Loretta) Groth; brother-in-law Carl (Maureen) Zilke; and many other cherished relatives and friends.

Retired Lutheran minister (LCMS) of 42 years, serving congregations in Neudorf, Sask., CAN; Scotia, NY; Dayton, Grafton, and Cleveland, OH; Chicago and Dolton, IL. May all who mourn find comfort in Christ’s promise to all who believe: “I am the Resurrection and the Life; because I live, you shall live also!”
