Maria Staszyszyn, age 93. Passed Away Peacefully on Sunday October 14, 2018. Loving Wife of Mychajlo (Deceased). Beloved Mother of Alexandra “Lesia” Boryczewski (Deceased). Dear Grandmother of Alexander Boryczewski and Julia Budusky and Great Grandmother of Victoria and Vasyl Budusky.
Maria was born in Ukraine and forced into German Labor Camps during WWII where she met her husband. Together they immigrated to the United States in 1952. They settled in Cleveland and found their home in Brooklyn. She was involved in the founding of Pokrova Ukrainian Catholic Parish and remained an active member throughout her life. She loved to spending time in her beautiful garden and taking care of family and friends.
