Maria Olha Antoniw (nee Mychajliw), age 89, of Parma, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018. Born on February 23, 1929 in Ukraine, she was the youngest child of the late Rev. Ivan Mychajliw and Iryna (Lubinecky) Mychajliw. As a young woman, Maria immigrated to the United States with her parents and settled in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She was an accomplished seamstress and worked for a clothing manufacturer. She met her future husband at the Ukrainian National Estate (Soyuzivka), married and moved to Parma, Ohio. She was the loving wife of the late Stefan Antoniw for 52 years before he passed away in 2012. She was a Ukrainian preschool teacher and a library aide for many years. A lifelong member of the Ukrainian scouting organization Plast, she volunteered for many years at the Plast Museum in Parma. Maria enjoyed singing and was a longtime member of the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral church choir. She was also a member of the Ukrainian National Womens' League (Soyuz Ukrainok), Branch 33. Maria is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Motria Hodowanec and her husband Oleh of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, her son Myron Antoniw and wife Marusia of Rocky River, Ohio, her grandsons Andrew and Alexander Hodowanec, and many nieces and nephews throughout the United States of America. She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Parastas Thursday June 21, 2018 at 7 PM and Panahyda on Friday June 22, 2018 at 9:15 AM at the Funeral Home. Funeral Liturgy Friday June 22, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Interment at St. Andrew Cemetery.
