Emil Wasil, age 93. Passed away on Thursday October 19, 2023. Loving husband of 53 years to Hazel nee Connors. Beloved father of Michael (Michelle). Brother to John, Catherine Eozanski (Deceased) (Peter (Deceased)), Helen Czajkowski (Deceased) (Edward (Deceased)), Stella Ondras (Deceased) (Arthur (Deceased)) and Bernice Stanko (Russell (Deceased)). Son of the late Mike and Mary.

He served in the U.S. Army’s 2nd armored division during the Korean War. He had a career at GM Chevrolet plant in Parma for an astounding 56 years. Just like his mother, he was the cat whisperer, caring for all felines owned or stray.

Family and Friends received at HOLOWCHAK FUNERAL HOME; 5548 State Rd Parma OH 44134 on Wednesday October 25, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with Parastas at 7:00 PM. Thursday October 26, 2023 Funeral Services at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church. “PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.” Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
