Edward "Ed" Eugene Roche Sr. age 88, of Parma, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his family by his side the morning of Sunday December 22, 2024. Ed, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of humor, kindness, and dedication. Ed had an extraordinary ability to light up the lives of those around him with his unique sense of humor—no item in a shopping cart was ever safe from his playful wit. His passion for dogs and his love for Cleveland sports teams were constants in his life, as was his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Professionally, Ed demonstrated an impeccable work ethic throughout his career. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for all the Brown Derbys and later as a Superintendent of Public Buidlings for the city of Shaker Heights before concluding his career at Bryant & Stratton College. His vast knowledge and certifications across numerous trades made him an invaluable asset in every role he undertook. In his personal life, Ed found joy in simple yet meaningful pursuits. He loved taking daily walks through the Metroparks system, where he appreciated nature and reflected on life’s beauty. Driving was another passion of his—whether he had a destination or not, he embraced the journey wholeheartedly and never relinquished this beloved pastime. Ed will be dearly missed by many who were touched by his generosity, humor, and unwavering dedication to those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mildred Roche, and is survived by Eddie [Sue], David [Fran], and Christopher [Yvonne]
