ANNA BARRETT (nee Brezdun) age 78, passed away on Friday, December 20th, 2024. She was the beloved wife of David Barrett, loving sister of Maria Krasniansky (John), and cherished aunt/godmother of Adriana Krasniansky (Denys Pilecky). Anna was born in WESTRAUDUFEN, Germany and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, earning her bachelor's degree from the Ohio State University, Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University. Her professional career spanned several executive positions at regional healthcare organizations, including Deaconess Hospital of Cleveland and CEO of Independence of Portage County. Passionate for Ukrainian causes, Anna was a lifelong member of the Ukrainian American Youth Association (CYM); leadership member of the Board of Directors for the Cleveland SelfReliance Credit Union – president for the past 3 ½ years; leadership member of the United Ukrainian Organizations of Ohio; and treasurer of Fund to Aid Ukraine. She was a kind and brave woman, a ” tough cookie”, and her guidance touched those who knew her in her personal, professional, and community contexts.
